Samsung probes Ireland’s S3 explosion
Will Samsung Galaxy S3 Explosion Report Help Apple iPhone 5?
The news comes as the electronics giant gears up to launch its flagship handset in its native Korea on Monday. A schoolboy in Korea was earlier reported to claim his handset’s battery exploded while in his back pocket.
In that incident, Samsung claimed the external pressure pre-empted on the device was what caused it to explode.
The Galaxy S3 is Samsung’s flagship device and these incidents would certainly put a doubt in the consumer’s mind.
The device apparently let out a small, white flame, then let out an unsettling, yet harmless bang to top it all off. This effectively killed the radios inside but everything else, such as the display, seemed to be working fine for him.
Let’s hope this is an isolated issue and that we don’t have an exploding Galaxy S3 pandemic sweeping the globe. Hit the source link for more photos
